Our chicken, Brigid, had a prolapsed vent yesterday. As soon as we heard the commotion, we ran out to get her as the other chickens were making her a bloody mess. This is this second time this has happened. However, her comb is pale. We are treating her back end but what does the paleness of comb indicate, and how do we help her? She has been isolated from the other chickens.

A pale comb can be from blood loss, dehydration, or both. Can you post some pictures of her?
Thank you. I don't have a way to take a picture at the moment (phone is in shop for repairs) but thank you for the information. I will keep an eye out on the drinking. She is not bleeding anymore and is on the mend and the comb is slowly starting to look better.
