My bird has a swollen lump on its comb now she is getting lazy and she has the runs now she dose not walk with the flock and sticks by her self been going on 3 days now any idea what it is

Can you post a picture of her or her poop? Is she eating or drinking? Does she still lay eggs? Can you feel of her crop, and let us know if it is empty and flat, full and puffy or hard? Hens her age can suffer from reproductive disorders, crop problems, worms, and lice or mites. Have you checked her skin for any lice or mites? Has she been wormed recently? Has she lost weight or does she have an enlarged lower belly? Coccidiosis could be a problem as well.

I had too put her down today she had gotten a big bubble below her vent kinda like a hemroid she did not have lice or mites I checked… but the funny thing is about an 1 hour after putting her down my other birds started too beat the hell out of another chicken and almost killed her I have her setup in my icu now trying too bring her back could they have been reestablishing The pecking order that fast do you think?

Someone said it could of been sideways egg syndrome could of been what made my first one have too be put down dose that sound possible

Sorry for your loss. I would make sure that your chickens are not over crowded, and that they are getting enough protein in their diets. They may be less likely to peck each other’s vent (which can lead to cannibalism) if they are getting outside or have some activities so they are not bored.

They are not crowded I only had 10 birds coop is big enough too support 20 and they free range 10 acres of land every day so I’m very confused on this I’m not sure if they have gotten sick and that’s why they killed the other bird thinking she was sick but don’t make any seance being they did not kill the one showing Singh’s and this one was fine I don’t get it

Spend some time with them tomorrow or set up a camera. There could be a bully that needs to be separated. If you can identify a bully, you could separate her or get some pinless peepers to help prevent pecking. What do you feed your hens? Is your coop lighted or heated? So many things can cause them to peck each other. Here is a good article about some reasons that chickens will peck vents:
