Chicken comb

A broody hen will sit on the nest at night so I would keep her separate at night. You can move the cage into the pen at night if you are worried about foxes. One or two nights should do the trick :) . Good luck!
I have a wood shed next to the coop so could put her in there over night and take her out in the morning.

So my chicken went to Jail for 2 days and has now been let out on good behaviour. She was out all day yesterday and went back into the coop last night but I closed the next boxes off just in case. However, when opening up this morning we had 2 eggs, but one very soft and discoloured (attached). Would this have come from my broody chicken do you think?

It is possible, but you can't be 100% sure. Offer oyster shell separate from their feed, those who need will take. Hopefully it is just a start up issue :)
