Starting to sound promising! I'm truly very glad.Honestly thinking white chicken is a pullet.
no doubt in my mind its a pulletStarting to sound promising! I'm truly very glad.
Hmm, no. But perhaps I misspoke? There are no signs at all of a nail on either, just a small knobby (fleshy) bump where I would think a spur should develop. Though I hear it takes quite a while for Spurs to develop sometimes. Learning (from you all) as I go.......Do you have a photo that shows what you're calling spur buds?
all of my pullets have thoseHmm, no. But perhaps I misspoke? There are no signs at all of a nail on either, just a small knobby (fleshy) bump where I would think a spur should develop. Though I hear it takes quite a while for Spurs to develop sometimes. Learning (from you all) as I go.......
Good sign.... So, if my buff also has the same does that mean anything? That is, if he's a he, shouldn't he be showing more spur development by now (16 weeks)??all of my pullets have those
The fertilized eggs are just like normal eggs. I had my mom crack an egg the other day because she thought she seen a baby growing and I had to ask her “Are you serious Mom?!” Had to explain to her that the chickens don’t grow unless they are triggered to grow by a certain environment and even if it was in that environment it had literally been laid thirty minutes before we ate it and I had to ask her how fast she thought chickens grew.Haha, that is true! I hear it's a delicacy in some places. And I do love my "roo".....if only he'd learn the quiet game.
ive had a roo with no spurs, but normally mine dont get them for up to a yearGood sign.... So, if my buff also has the same does that mean anything? That is, if he's a he, shouldn't he be showing more spur development by now (16 weeks)??
