Chicken Coop Camera System

I had blink for our house and it was a pia..PIA... the batteries were always dead or they couldn't get a wifi signal or they would just randomly go off line. Someone recommended Reolink as a solar camera for the coop. I bought 2 to start and loved them so much, I replaced all our blink cameras with them and did what mother hen said... our neighbor stopped by and mentioned he was looking to blink get them for his mother's house and i couldn't get them in a box fast enough.
That is hilarious... If he wants two more, send him over to my house!

Afternoon everyone! I was just wondering what camera system you use in your coops. I hope to sometime soon get cameras hooked up inside and outside the coop. I am hoping for something I could connect to my phone so that if I'm away from home I could check how everything is. If anyone knows anything about a camera system that is decently affordable or have any ideas it will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I use wyze cams all around the perimeter of my house and on the animals. The v3 camera is now waterproof and have a better resolution. It's not the highest but if you have wifi and power it's easy. Love being able to see who is laying and who isn't.

I use Wyze also. I have 9 around my yard, and 3 at my farm an hour away. Definitely recommend the newer v3’s. I’ve had some of the v2’s for a few years now, replaced some with the v3 and they are so much better. The night vision is much improved. My biggest complaint is spider webs! Lol

This is the quality of my blink

I can see it is not the better quality photo but I am not completely unhappy at all. I don't have electric running to my coop or the places where I put my cameras. Maybe one day I will be trying to give the away lol

*** I see the feeders need filling and my husband left some crazy dish in the run lol. I am spending the summer up the mountain right now, 1/2 hour from home so good to know these things lol. I also have a set up here and in my summer coop. Really helps with peace of mind.

We have no power at our coop so battery powered with a long life is a must. We just switched from wyze to Ring for coverage around the coop.
1. Wyze battery life was terrible.
2. You have to pay per camera to get better features and detection options.
3. Seemed slower to pick up motion unless close.
4. App was very hard to use

We already had Ring cameras and a subscription, so even though the wyze cameras themselves were slightly less, the long term cost ended up being less for us to add more ring cameras. Ring has a big sale through 8/7 FWIW. The outdoor wireless is $30 off!

We did have to get a wifi extender so the wifi would reach the coop since it's pretty far from the house/main router (paid $79 for a good one at BBY).

I use Wyze cameras. I believe they've come out with a wireless version but my coop is wired so I use the plug-in version. I bought 4 cameras for under $100 dollars. I did have to get a better router to get the wifi signal out to the coop. My coop is about 100 feet from the router location in the house.
I can check on the birds whenever I need. When on vacation, I actually logged into the coop cam one night to talk my nephew through getting a broody out of the nest during nightly lock up and head count. You can speak through the cameras too.
This is what we need! Thank you for sharing 💖

I use my indoor Blink Mini Camera inside the coop. After puchasing and using them (I have others) for the 30 day trial then it's about $10/month for unlimited cameras. I can talk to my girls and actually saw a baby opossum in their coop at 3:00 this morning. Not good! Now I have to figure out how to capture it so I can release it elsewhere. My girls have been losing feathers and now I know why. They are so stressed! Have to take care of this asap!
