That's what I was wondering. So I will just learn to accept it lol
It does sound like a warzone in there around bed time. Best to just close the door and walk away.

Only pic I got on my phone right now when we first built it. The 4ft bar was added later. And I also added a poop board. Where do you think I could add more roost? The might need more when they get bigger but right now 17 sleep on top bar. 4 sleep on second bar. None sleep on 4 ft bar and 2 sleep on top of doorI think your coop is a bit crowded, or at least totally full, and twenty feet of roosts for twenty-three birds is really too tight. There's always some drama with youngsters of different ages at bed time, but this crowding makes it a bigger event.
Fewer birds, or more space, especially more roost space!
How about posting some pictures of your coop?
If many of your birds are bantams, that helps a lot as far as space is concerned, although here I don't think that the bantams take less space per bird at all.

Definitely don't want to reduce my flock. The other bar is lower under the other 2 bars but could extend it all the way across. Mainly had it there so low cause 4 of them acted like they couldn't get up to the other ones when I first put them in the coop. They all are still young right now. I could even extend another roost down the other wall if need be. ThanksChickens want to as high up as possible when roosting, so the more dominant birds favor the higher roosts, usually. They need space to fly up, and fly down, so that needs to be considered too.
Where is that 4' bar? Could you put another one over the top of the nest boxes, or extend the length of the 4' bar?
Fewer birds?
Mary
I'd remove the angled nest top and put a poop board with roost above nests.Other side
