Chicken Coop construction UPDATED

Finished the remaining trim work inside the coop last night. Tonight after work I'll be priming all the trim and then starting on the finish coat. Figure I should be done with the inside tomorrow afternoon and move the older Keets into it in the early evening. More photos to come this weekend.

Man Jeff, If I only lived a few miles closer to you, I'd stop by and help, thank god I don't!...oops, did I type that outloud?

Before I ask my wife to help hold a board in place for me, I have to hide all the power tools so she won't get hurt walking by them!! (AND she would too!!!)

You could teach your wife to use the power tools and then you wouldn't have to hide them

! That's what my DH did. I'm still not fully functional with them, but I at least know what they do. I'm still more comfortable with his "supervision", but I've gotten pretty good with a circular saw, a level and a nail gun and I know the difference between level and plum!

Then again . . .

CIRCULAR SAW??@!!!! NAIL GUN??!!!! Are you kidding me? I'd be driving her to the emergency room if she touched either one of those tools.
Guess I should sometime tell you'll about the story of her and a vegetable slicer!

She just about lost a finger on that one and it's not even a powered tool.

OK, I have to confess to one other thing...it would drive me nuts if she was building the coop too. She's enough of a "job foreman" right now, I couldn't even imagine what she'd be like if she knew what she was doing with power tools!! Cut this.....nail that....you did that wrong......redo it!!
Oh....I'm going to have nightmares thinking about it.

Ahhhhh the truth comes out! It's not concern for her safety, it's concern for your dominance!! Just kidding of course. LOL:lol:
