Chicken coop VIDEO CAMERA?

Ustream is a free live broad casting system, to keep it free they place ads on video feeds.

Logitech sells some of the best indoor and outdoor wireless cameras that broadcast back to your PC for viewing. They also sell a web cam called the HD9000 that is excellent for sharing brooders or hatches from inside via your computer. Usually a plug and play set up so anyone can buy and use quickly.

There are other online broadcast hosts as well. Stickam is just another name. Google free online broadcast, or free online webcam feed. I can try and answer questions if anyone has them, this is what I do all day for work. (live feed broadcasting) for social media (twitter, facebook ect) and PR (public relations companies) for events and brands (Disney, GM, Ford, conferences, shuttle launches, Air Force air shows)

If you're looking for REALLY EASY, we use the Avaak Vue system. It was decently priced and they are coming out with outdoor cameras w/ motion sensors. The basic package comes w/ 2 indoor cameras - we have 1 set up in the coop and 1 in our living room. it can handle up to 50 cameras on the system, so we do plan to add on w/ a couple outdoor cameras. I like it bc where we both work, we are not able to get on websites with streaming (firewalls), but this set up allows you to view the cameras from your cell phone (blackberry, iphone, and android i think). Plus, set up took all of 1 minute and included plugging something into the wireless router, and popping in batteries. Everything in wireless, including the cameras, so you don't have wires hanging everywhere.

This will serve to purposes 1. You will be able to watch your birds day and night 2. The infrared cam will have a glowing red light , the red glow will deter any predators from coming around

I have a foscam in my brooder right now. I can only watch from my home network tho. Not sure why verizon is blocking all incoming ports. LOL So I watch them from bed.

Only time will tell if I will be able to view the coop when I put it out there. I have to get it wired up for power before I can do that. lol

I wouldn't get any work done.

That sounds like a price I would be willing to spend! Could you show us which one from Harbor Freight? I'd love to have a camera, but I don't want to spend big bucks on one.

I think you need to assign it an IP address that can be accessed from outside your home network. I have a Foscam camera and can see pics from my iPhone anywhere in the world. Kinda neat...

My Eglu Go actually came with a place for a video camera attachment. Man I wish they didn't put that idea in my head. Ha ha
