Have to admit when our 4-H group suggested have a costume contest I didn't believe anyone was that crazy, but then I went and did it

A few years ago I made a "Christmas cape" (reversible, of course) in seasonal fabric trimmed with white fake fur, along with a red velvet Santa hat and ankle bows. This was pre-digital camera, so no photos.

For the birthday party girl a colorful plastic lei/boa was a nice touch...As guests, we entertained a non-chicken loving friend and her 92 year old Mother and a blast was had by all...especially Speckles who scarfed up her fresh pea & grub worm "cake" before we could even finish singing the Happy Birthday song! Of course we kept getting choked up laughing while trying to sing....
