Chicken Diapers

Hi, a couple of years ago I had to get rid of my small flock because a neighbor complained. Am really trying to stay "under the radar" this time, so am getting the chooks used to being in the house. I have Chicken diapers ordered from "my pet chicken", but have never used them, so looking for advice, effectiveness, styles / brands that work well, liners, etc. Anything you can tell me about chicken diapers, from how to "instal them" to how to "clean them" will be useful and appreciated! Thanks

Well I have not used diapers,but I do have house chickens that are kept in cages during injury/illness. I would say get a large dog crate. I clean droppings immediately.Wouldn't you have to wash their bum if they wear a dipe? I just washed my hen in the sink,because she gets a dirty vent area.Sink washing is the way to go.She seems fine in the crate with her perch.

We experimented with a couple brands but found the ones made by Cray K Farm called the Hen Holster to be the better functioning. They came with a couple reusable liners and we have had then in use for over a year now. I would try those before any other. The link to their webpage is below.
