Chicken Dream Analysis

When the floods hit I kept having these recurring dreams where I HAD to save th local population by breeding chickens - only the floods kept coming and my chickens would float away! Balls of poofy chicken just hurdling at 60mph down the middle of the city on waves of water. I kept getting upset because if the chickens kept floating away, I couldn't save the world.

I should draw the image, actually - because for some reason in my dream I did really turn them into a ball-shape as they floated down river. Just a ball of feathers with a beak and comb sticking out and a shocked chicken expression of "what SINCE WHEN DO CHICKENS FLOAT!?"

I recently tried incubating eggs. About a week before the estimated hatch date, I had a dream that I was at a car show with a bunch of kids from my former school. Then it suddenly turned into a backyard (not mine, though... weird) and all the kids vanished. There were just four little eggs that quickly hatched into dry (wouldn't they be wet...?) peeping puffballs.


Unfortunately, the growing chicks of that clutch mysteriously died right after lockdown started

My allotment neighbours chicken grew so big they climbed out of his chicken run once. Then I dreamt that I got my chicken run and coop built them, put some of these black and white speckly looking chickens then went to bed on the floor next to the coop. Somehow someone pinched the coop though!!!!!!!!!!

Two odd chicken dreams of mine:

I am walking somewhere, wearing a petticoat of chickens. Like those big, fluffy square dance petticoats? My petticoat won't shut up, they keep clucking, and I am worried someone will notice. That was that entire dream fragment.

I am at my desk at home, reading a magazine. I reach for my cigarette in the ashtray, and a chicken plucks it up, then presents it to me. At first I think it's going to steal and/or eat it, and I am panicked, but when the hen holds it out in her beak to me, I thank her and take a drag. She flaps a wing to get the smoke out of her face and then jumps to the floor to go outside again.

That was THAT entire dream fragment.

I know what both mean.
