Yes, you don't put the tail feathers into the pouch. The 'V' in them is meant to cup around the tail so it doesn't ruin the feathers.

If I put the tail feathers in it.. Thats all that would fit.. I cant even say all the tail feathers would even fit! Mine have about 6 inches of feathers on their tail. And the diaper that is supposed to go over it is only about 5 inches. Not even close to catching any poop from the vent!

If I'm looking at these pix right the pocket is supposed to cover the vent, not the tail. It looks like you line the V up UNDER the tail & above the vent to allow the pocket to line up with the vent & then the poop drops into the pocket.

If that is how they are suposed to go on. I dont think i want them. That is pretty risky to wonder if the bag moved.. Not a secure design to me.. I am going to go with that other person on ebay that everone talks highly about. Hers are 35 a piece and mine were 12 a piece. Maybe that explains it. Lol. I looked at hers on ebay and they totaly make sense to me just by looking at them...

the one I pictures is too loose- I would never constrict a duck's tail, as that would also cover the preen gland... good luck.

hi my names dana and i was thinking about getting this for my duck since his loved one passed away the other day and hes lonley so i want to try having in the house so he can be by me all day my question was their called "duck diapers" but i didnt see any pics of and actual diaper in it so is it a diaper harness or an actual diaper? the impression i got was you just put your harness on them and they go to the bathroom in it and you clean it every 2 hours or so is that correct or do you actually have to keep buying pads or diapers to go in them and then throw those away and just keep the harness? thankyou

Hi the diapers I had listed were not very good diapers, you have to go to etsydiapers.com or something...i ordered from her and they are awesome diapers, yes you have to use baby diapers inside them, i bring my females inside house once in a while ,also 1 duck is a lonely duck, they need a pal

Unclip the back..the rest of the diaper will stay on..then pull out diaper and put a new one in...you get newborn diapers and cut them to fit..make sure you measure your duck kinda snug but not tight
