No, it has cement in it as well as the sand. I think there is a "topping" that doesn't have the cement, I'll try to find it.

edit to add. I didn't find the sand and small gravel mix that I thought I saw called topping.

OK, Home Depot told my daughter that Quickcrete was contractor sand. I will just throw it out and see if I can't find multipurpose sand. Thank you for your response.

Yes, a picture of the label will help. It is possible people in your area use the terms differently than people around here do.

It might not be worth the time, but you could dump a big spoonful in a glass jar of water to see. If it has cement in it, some gray cloudy puffs will billow up.

Quickcrete *may* have plain sand as part of their product line. They are a brand with many kinds of cement and cement-related products.

Andddd, thats the one I got, and went home a looked at it as was like, something is not right about this product! It was like, sand castle making shit. Its still sittin’ in a bag. Maybe i can use it to soak up oil spill in garage
