The fake eggs is to show her where to lay them, has nothing to do with her changing her laying pattern. Being broody is something you can't force to happen. It will or it won't.

I have a Fine Malay hen and what i was told is she only lays when she’s actually fertile and today she finally laid one but she’s obviously not broody and I don’t have an incubator what should i do? Please help!! Im new to the chicken world and im super excited and don’t want to see it die or something!

Even if an egg is fertile it is edible. The eggs aren't viable until heat is applied (incubation) and then it takes a few days for the embryo to form. The longer eggs are kept without incubating the less viable they are. I would collect the eggs and eat them. You will find a lot of good information here Good luck and have fun...
