Chicken escaped

Today when my went to go check on our chickens we realized they all escaped. When we found them they were all huddled together at the door but one of them was missing. We tried looking for her but we can't find her. When we take them out we don't let them leave our backyard so I don't think they know the area. All I wanted to know was if she would return to us. We are going to try to look for her in the morning.

That's a nightmare I often have. I'm so sorry! I hope she returns...

She came back in the morning. My sister said she heard noises and my dad went to go check and the chicken was outside waiting to be let into the chicken coop. I’m glad she’s safe and sorry for updating late.
