Just a tip for your beans, soke them over night and add salt to the last half hour of cooking. If you add the salt to early the beans become mushy if you add it too late they stay hard. Just incase you wanted to try something.

That's cool. My husband is a 49ers fan.He is a California transplant though. What the heck we are doing in Washington though! Wettest place on earth I think,but the hunting and fishing are great here and the other outdoor activities are the greatest here, hiking and camping and stuff. Every year I pretend I'm surprised how much rain and cold we get.I keep saying I want to move somewhere warm but 40 years later here we still are

Yep dry beans need soaking in a big pan of water at least 24 hours with one water change in between if you can, you can then cook them as per instructions.

Laughing, I know that my chickens can TOOT, we gave ours some brussel sprouts the next day the head hen a big welsummer was tooting with every step she took! She was walking like trying to hold it in then took off running letting out a loud squeak, from BOTH ends. After my Niece and I quit laughing we caught her just to make sure she was ok, totally offended chicken.

When we make beans we soak for an hour or so with baking soda till they wrinkle. Then when cooking them I put in a tablespoon of Honey, Grandma told us it cut down on the evening entertaiment. I think it works.

I've heard my chickens fart.  It's a tiny noise:  freeeeeeep.  I heard my  Blue Front fart yesterday.  Her's squeaked.  Then she laughed.
