Chicken Feather Loss?

For the past 2 days one of my Langshan chickens, Coconut, has had a lot of feather loss. Should this be a concern? It started on the 22 when I gave them all pesten powder for their mite issues, they never usually have a reaction, but I noticed it when I ruffled it in Coconut's back feathers. Since, a lot of loose ones fall out when she shakes her back or when I pick her up. Molting or concern?

My initial thoughts are Do you have a cockerel ? It looks like too much adoration at first sight.

HOWEVER
I have just been researching the product contents, this is what I found in a nutshell …

1. Banned in a number of countries due to environmental damage.
2. A neurotoxin linked to Parkinson’s disease.
3. Causes cell damage which is what affects the lice.
4. Mask is recommended for all usage as it contains Rotenone.
5. Australia used it to kill all the fish in a lake due to an invasive species.
All information was researched on Google so take its validity as you wish

I would add a saddle to the hen (this will make it so the rooster doesn’t pull out more feathers) or you can separate the hen and let her grow in some pen feathers then you can put on a saddle a add her back to flock. Add some neosporen or another antibiotic creamif there is any open skin.

It will not stop naturally because the rooster/cockerel will continue to over mate the hen. Keep a saddle on her after she gets her feathers back to prevent this from happening again!

Pestene powder (sulfur and rotenone) are approved for treating lice or mites in many animals. What you are seeing is probably molting, since you are in the southern hemisphere, or rooster damage. Are you seeing feathers in the coop, run, and yard? You may want to give a little extra protein in the diet while regrowing feathers.

I'm guessing it's molting then, I'm not sure if I have my meanings correct but rooster damage has to do with roosters? I have no roosters at all, not my chicken stated above either. I will say though I'm glad it's not winter or I feel like she would struggle, but yes I will take your advice for extra protein. Thank you!

So if no rooster overmating her, it must be molting and there also could be some feather picking by other birds. With a molt, you would see feathers lying around. They also stop laying until they grow back their new feathers.
