Well my birds had their birthday the other day and I can recognize each and every one by their combs, it's almost like a finger print no two are the same. I've named 8 of them and know each one as soon as I get a profile view except for Monique I can spot her quite some distance away with that big floppy comb.

The ones I can tell apart get names, the ones I can't tell apart all get the same name lol.

My red sex links are all called Red and if I really have to distinguish them for some reason, I count the bumps on their combs. Red with 3 big bumps and a cluster of 3 bumps stopped laying for a month, but Red with 5 bumps lays every day, haha!

I do the same, some of those twins and triplets get banded.

I have four five-year old Welsummers. I can tell who two of them are by one having two inch spurs and the other one is very small and is always by my feet waiting for a snuggle. The other two have different colored nail polish dabbed onto their shanks so I know which is which. Note to self: order different breeds, not so many of the same kind.
