Hi y'all!

So, I have a chicken that is the runt of my flock. She is about 8 weeks old and one of her toes has turned like she broke it at a knuckle. It's been like this for a few weeks and now her other toes on her other foot are also turning inward the same way. She's in a pen in my house so it's not like she is getting into things that are making her feet break. She's still walking on them but rests every so often.

There's no livestock vets in my area (that I have been able to find) so I'm hoping someone here can help me. I'll post a picture if I can get her to cooperate.

Do you have a picture? Is it turned to the side? Sometimes the can get develop crooked toes if incubation temp was off, or genetic reasons. It may not show up right away. I got 2 speckled sussex a few years back from a hatchery and they both developed toes that pointed to the side. The other breeds of chickswere fine. I still have these girls and they do just fine.

I don't have a photo yet, but it's just the one RIR. I have 7 others that I got at the same time from Tractor Supply and none of them have it. I thought that my 3 year old son (because he picked up the birds when they were about 4 weeks and gave a little toss to see them fly before I got to him!) broke her toe. Then I noticed the other one on the other foot doing it, and he hasn't been near them in weeks.

I'll see if I can take a picture for you a little later today. Thanks so much for the help.

Hey y'all. I was finally able to get a picture. I just have no idea how to shrink it down to the required size for BYC. :/ any suggestions on that?
