I let my chickens out and went out an hour later to find one in the horse water tank. She was floating around with her head out of the water, but was soaked. I brought her in and used the blow dryer to dry her. She is now in front of the really warm heater and is alert. She just started eating some food as I type.

However, she has a raspy, watery sound when she breathes. I'm guessing she got some water in her lungs.

I have some injectetable Tylan 200. Is it possible to give this orally? Should I?

I've had some luck with near-drowning by grabbing her by the ankles and turning her upside down for a few seconds (10 - 15 seconds?)... have had them 'spit up' the water they accidentally ingested, and live to tell about it. Best of luck with her and glad you caught her before she drowned. Keep an eye on her. How bad are her rales? (rasping sound when she's breathing when not being held.)
Looked up dosage on Tylan 200 for poultry: The dosage for injectable tylan is 35 mg/kg (works out to 16mg/pound of bird, two to three times per day, it is to be injected into muscle (typically the breast), for 7 to 10 days, for a sick bird with respiratory illness. 7-day withdrawal from eating her eggs after her last dose of Tylan 200 injection.

Each of mine have taken an accidental “swim” as they miscalculated how far they can fly as a shortcut to be the first one in line on the porch for a treat.

One nearly drowned because she went unnoticed for some time before finding her way to the exit and was completely saturated.
A wet rag of a chicken.

After a lengthy blowdry and a good nights rest she was okay.
