Just curious if anyone has any tricks for keeping your chicken wire fencing nice and straight when installing on a hill. Mine seems to get so wavy no matter how tight I pull it. I'm putting up new and would like it to to look as nice as possible. Thanks

more fence posts closer together will make it straighter. Also due to the angle of a hill, you won't be attaching it straight up and down to the posts, it will be at an angle. Estimate the angle of your hill and start the first piece of fence off at that angle when you attach it? Based on geometry that should work lol

I read an online article on how to do that because we couldn't get the welded wire anywhere close to straight. The two things that made all of the difference for us were bracing the posts at the top with 2x4's (because they were bowing in as we were tightening) and snapping a chalk line along one side on your posts at the height of the fencing. That gives you the angle to start at and shoot for. If you change slope direction you have to cut and start again.

Good Luck!
