FluffBomb heard the commotion about the coyote, but felt safe in her nest box. She felt very gentle vibrations from one of her eggs.

She also heard rumors about the farmer's friend having a chick explosion. FluffBomb dreamed of that in her broody trance.

"I hope everyone is okay," Janie told Bonnie. "FluffBomb, when are your eggs due to hatch?"

FluffBomb replies, "They're on their way! Hatch is coming soon!"

Meanwhile, an egg clicks softly for a few seconds under FluffBomb's belly.

Puff heard Fluffbomb say that the eggs were hatching and got excited, but she knew that Fluffbomb would peck her if she tried to see the them.

FluffBomb growled that there’s no hatching yet, just clicking.

In her broody trance, FluffBomb visions a nest box totally full of babies!!

Rumors are going around about the farmer’s friend’s hatch...

FluffBomb is fantasizing about her hatch!

Another egg clicks under FluffBomb and feels really warm.

It’s midnight.

FluffBomb is dreaming of being a lazy cuddle-chicken with many feather-footed babies.

From clicking to checking to cracking....eggs begin to hatch under FluffBomb’s ample feathers.

The hatch occurs at night and starts while the farmer is in the house watching TV. After the second chick is hatched, the lights go out in the farm house. The farmer went to bed.

As silence falls over the farm, FluffBomb is filled with both love and excitement.

The neighbor’s dogs have finally stopped barking and gone to sleep. The coyote went somewhere else.

All is quiet and peaceful in the chicken coop and especially in FluffBomb’s low but ample nest box.

There is multiple clicking and checking. A feeling of soft warmth bathes FluffBomb from below.
