I recently got a two year old rooster from someone in the city. He seemed healthy friendly and was just missing a few toes from a past injury. The rooster is currently limping on his feet and holding his foot up. His feet and toes seem swollen and he just stands around in the snow all day. The snow isn’t abnormal but we’ve had negative degree days lately. Could he have frostbite? It doesn’t look like the bumble foot that I’ve seen and it’s on both feet. What should I do for him? We have a coop and large sheep barn and hay shed for him to get out of the snow but he just walks around outside all day and never goes in.
