Can any of you genetic gurus help me out with a question can you break down genetics in silkies in black and black partridge and buff brahama mille duccles and polish in wcb and golden laced thanks

I am far from an expert but I will give it a shot. Black is a hard one because the bird can have a bunch of genes that are covered up with black so test matings would be required to figure out what it carries.

I am not familiar with black partridge but partridge is eb/eb s/s Mh/Mh Di/Di Pg/Pg.

Buff Brahma is eb/eb s/s Co/Co.

Mille Fluer is eb/eb s/s Db/Db mo/mo

Gold laced polish is Er/Er s/s Db/Db Pg/Pg Ml/Ml Co/Co

Not sure about the wcb

What do you plan on doing once you know the genetics?

I am going to have to disagree on the Millie no Db replace with Co. Db could be found in birds that have hackles cleared of black and they are a burnt orange color. I have seen a lot of variation in the birds.

Black crested White- ER/ER Db/Db, S/S or S/_W, Ml/Ml

I have produce black crested white and I believe this is the genotype. I can be for certain once I can test mate the birds.

Correct. the plus "+" sign is to identify genes found on wild type birds(Red Jungle Fowl) any other mutation have to lack the plus sign
