I was busy cleaning when the UPS man rang the bell. His jaw hit the ground and asked if she was ok, and I replied but of course, she LOVES this! I realized I didn't have a picture of her enjoying this...

Anyone else have a chicken that "gives a cuddle?"

I have a bunch of chickens that like me to hold them. My little Billy is a frizzle cross and loves to be held along with Joeba my cornish/dutch. They are the cutest things ever, if I try to put them down they look at me like I did something wrong!!

That was the second motive to get the chickens, the first being eggs. I can't cuddle my parrots like this, half of them come from abusive situations, and they needed something more... I can't believe how well the chickens tolerate cuddling... treats, etc.

Many of our birds love to be held and cuddled. Most of our bantams insist on being picked up and held. A few of our sex links will sit on our laps for hours to be petted. Our worst one is our big Delaware Roo who will snuggle right up with you and place his head on your shoulder and nuzzle your neck. I don't think he realizes he is a chicken.

My ducks will poop all over me if I let them on my lap...that is why they NEVER get on my lap. My chickens on the other hand have never pooped on me. And some of them are great cuddlers!!!
