Mine will have nothing to do with meal worms or veggies. They love fruit, bugs, skinks and snakes. Skinks and snakes they catch themselves.

Thanks for mentioning the cranberry treats! One bag is always more than we use so it's nice to know the chickens will like them (at least, I'm hoping ).

… Their all time favorite is rib eye steak cut up in small pieces. Yes my chickens get steak...

In reasonable amounts "rib eye steak cut up in small pieces" is likely the healthiest treat that any chicken can get.

I bought fresh cranberries. Can't go wrong for a bag that is 50 cents. First I cut them up and that was a pain. Then I boiled them and mashed them up for them--much easier.

My girls love it when blueberries are in season. I have about 20 plants and they get the lower ones and those on the ground. They also go nuts over figs. Too funny to watch them fight over them.

This thread inspired me, the heathens will get fresh cranberries for the first time ever...well me too for that matter! We shall see how it goes.

Boil them-it takes minutes and they are nice and soft.

I'll give it a go, anything is better than cutting up each cranberry i'm just asking to lose a finger doing that.
