Buttercup had a severe prolapse two three weeks ago. There appeared to be a large infected lump on the inside of her intestine. The tissue was black and poop was oozing out of the side. I put antibiotics on her and shoved everything back inside and tightly wrapped her up so she couldn’t undo my work.
She appeared to be doing well until today when I found her with what seemed to be a second prolapse. Upon closer inspection it appears she grew a second vent. I stuck my finger up the original vent and it seems as if it stops after three inches. The new vent is leaking poop constantly. When I stuck my finger up that vent it appeared more warm than the other and lined with poop. She strains once in awhile and it appears as if only the muscle around the original vent is moving, the muscle around the new vent doesn’t move. Is there anything I can do? I’ve attached pictures of her.
