Chicken growing white tipped feathers

My Rhode Island Red is growing white tipped feathers only on her ears.This has been going on about a month. Shes about a year and a half old. Shes not acting sick or anything.

Is she molting or has she molted?
Sometimes feathers come back in a different color. I wouldn't worry about it if she's acting normal, eating/drinking, active and you've looked her over for lice/mites.

Looks like molting to me. Where are you located?

I've got a Silkie who grew a few white-tipped feathers quite a while ago, it doesn't seem to cause or be related to any health problems.

@Wyorp Rock she hasn't molted before. I have a feeling its probably nothing I just wanted to be safe.
