Chicken had a hard time laying a egg and now she is sluggish.

Took her to the aviary vet. She had an x-ray. They saw lots of gas. And no signs of any egg present. Prescribed Amoxicillin and an anti-inflammatory (meloxicam). She thinks it’s either bacterial infection. (Fecal sample test going out in the morning) or just an upset with the food change.

There comes a time when self-help has done all you can, good job taking her to the vet. Glad your x-rays are clear of egg shell! Keep on posting, we all learn from each other, and next time you have a sick bird you will be better able to care for it, and able to pass on help to others less experienced.
BTW, just curious, but what dosages are prescribed for your chicken?
