Chicken has a cone like bump on her back.

Hello, I see a thread about the same thing I am wondering about but there's no answer to what it is but this morning my husband saw a bump on our hen. It's located on her back between her tail and her back and it's cone shaped and hard. He said it's big and crusty. Anyone know what it could be? I can post a picture later tonight when I get home if needed.

That is an oil gland. It secrets oil that the bird uses while grooming feathers. Not sure about it being "big and crusty". It should look like a small nipple. Hopefully someone else will have better info if that is a problem.

Husband said it's 3 inches tall fine shaped and about the size of a silver dollar at the base.

Can you find her preening gland?
How far up on the back is the lump?

That is not normal, I know this isn't very helpful advice but honestly if you have a vet nearby you should probably take her, especially if she is acting lethargic
