Chicken has an infected eye. HELP!

My chicken has had this infection for about five days. I have been applying veterecyn to the area but there seems so be little progress. There's is a bad smell but no leaking puss.

You need to post this on emergency's diseases .... First go to forums and drag down to raising back yard chickens and you should see it off to the right

........

Take care of that fast as it don't look good

Poor thing must be miserable with his eye like that. Do you think another bird injured him? Is it just one eye or both? Please post on "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread or take him to a vet if at all possible.

I have two chickens and they're both friendly to each other. She has been eating and drinking but doesn't move around or make sounds much. It's just one eye.

BUT....Terramycin Eye Ointment works really well on eye infections. You can get that on line here and I am not sure but you might also get it at Walgreens.
