Chicken has thin breast

Hello! I'm new to BYC But have been raising chickens about 10 years. The new chicks I have are about 6 months old. They all seem fat and happy. But when I pick them up, I can feel their breast bone and there seems to be no meat on the breast. I feed them ground feed from our Milling company especially for chickens. They are laying great eggs. So other than those 'meatless' breast they seem fine. Any suggestions?

The first thing that comes to mind is to check for worms.

Some vets will do a fecal float test for worms for a small fee- false negatives are possible.
