My chicken started laying but she only sits on her eggs at night and during the day she gets off them. Why wont she stay on them?

She isn't committed to raising a family.
Don't trust her. Take the eggs away.
I had a hen do that last year. You can either lock her into her own apartment on eggs or the draw of all the other flock members going out to forage is too great for her to sit tight.
I assume you have a rooster and the eggs are fertile. If she just started laying eggs, it is best to wait till the eggs are larger anyway.

do you think it has to do with the weather?

It isn't weather related. If a mature pullet or hen has the hormones raging that convince them to raise a family, they'll sit. It doesn't matter if it is hot, it doesn't matter if it is cold, it doesn't matter if it is raining, it doesn't matter if it is snowing, it doesn't matter if it is cloudy or bright.
I've had birds sit in all seasons and all weather from February to October, but March to June seem most common.
I have a pullet that went broody yesterday but I'll probably break her since she is well under a year of age and I don't have an available unit to move her into right now.

How old is the bird in question?
What breed?
If it is a pullet, how long has she been laying eggs?
You have a rooster, correct?
