Chicken hats for winter?

Why not hats for chickens? I have a friend that crochets/knits (I don't remember which) ear covers for her calves so they don't freeze. Our chcikens need protection too!

What I do to the one chicken that lets me hold her is I wrap her up in my jacket and basically walk around the yard holding her! But, I was thinking to put a jacket and hat on her, that is how I ended up here! LOL!

I think you should try it. As long as its comfortable on the chicken, I TOTALLY support you. Please post pictures if you do. I would like to make some if you do!
 
I have a roo that got frostbite last winter. This year I was thinking about trying Vet Wrap. Comb hats sound interesting. Last year I thought about small children's hats, but I didn't think the roo would like something tied on his head. We don't get a lot of cold weather here in Southeast Georgia, but there are a few bitter nights during the winter when some cold protection for combs would be a good thing.
