Chicken "hot spot"? Hen picking a patch of skin raw.

I'm glad she stopped messing with it, hopefully it will heal quickly, she's got some new feathers coming in .
Do you know how she became so raw to begin with? Rooster?

I don't know, could be the rooster, he's a big Wyandotte and he's being a bit rough with the ladies lately (he's not yet a year old). I don't see him mess with her often, she's too quick, but he has gotten her a couple times. I don't think any of the little jungle fowl roosters have tried anything with her, never seen it anyhow.

I think she just got irritated when she started molting and picked at herself to get the little old feather nubs out.

That's a big rooster for a little hen.
I had a very large layer breed rooster that was extremely rough on the smaller gals, he would corner them, beat one up pretty bad. I culled him.
The area she's bare, I would be inclined to think some of it's from mating - or that's what I have seen with my laying hens that had a rooster with them. Then of course, maybe a little pecking from flockmates during roosting - so could be a combination.
I would watch the interactions and see if she's getting plucked or if the rooster is rough with her.
Do you keep the Jungle Fowl roosters with the Wyandotte too or are they housed separately?

I keep American Gamefowl and so far haven't had many problems with the roosters getting rough with the hens. I do keep a pair together, but I also take him out and put him with a group of GF hens (stud service? LOL) He's not rough, but I only leave him for about an hour until they complain and want out - then he's got to be penned back up - he'll visit the other roosters and cause all sorts of headaches.

Yeah, I know he's too big to be messing with her, I worry about her but she's pretty quick and he's more interested in the bigger girls. You're probably right about it being rooster related, he's caught a few others with his spurs when they struggle and try to escape.

Everyone is kept together at the moment, 4 jungle fowl roosters and the 1 Wyandotte rooster. Had another Wyandotte rooster but had to separate him because there was conflict between the two when one or the other was mating. Didn't fight otherwise but didn't like it when the other mated with the hens. Unfortunately a racoon got him about a month ago, his new area wasn't as secure as it needed to be.

The little roosters coexist fairly peacefully with the Wyandotte, though there's one that's starting to "dance" with him and will peck him or pull on his wattles when he's mating. He'll also peck and pull at the feathers of the hen that's being mated which causes them to get upset and try to escape. Not sure if he's jealous or being protective, he tends to be the guard rooster that's always watching for danger while the others just scratch around the yard.

I'm figuring that I'm going to have to do some sort of rearranging soon, just don't know what exactly I want to do. Would rather keep the rooster with the girls, I may just saddle them all and see how that goes.

I do plan on separating the jungle fowl out, I want to hatch out some more JF girls. When I got them almost a year ago it was a straight run of 4, they sent one extra chick and I ended up with 4 boys and 1 girl which was disappointing. Toying with the idea of taking all the JF and a few Australorps and Barred Rocks that I have and creating a separate flock with the hope that the boys continue to live together without fighting as they do now. If not, I guess I'll have to create a bachelor pad for all the roosters and just let them go on dates. I'd rather keep them in with the girls as protection, or at least as alarms in case some critter comes to try and eat them.
