Chicken How? Chicken Where? WE NEED MORE TALK TO KEEP IT GOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing!!! Why I asked is because I was wondering which is more likely to get the job done, and which one you preferred.

A broody hen is the perfect device. She does all the turning and doesn't require electricity for incubation or brooding.

I've had bad incubators and have had to tweak the homemade monstrosity several times. I'm hoping to have it nearly perfect now.

I usually break a first time broody since they sometimes don't do the best job (though I've had first timers get it right).

See, I have done a broody hen and all went well. I just did not know which was more accurate. Thanks!!

A hen is almost always more reliable. No variables like power outages, fan, controller and heat element failure, inaccurate thermometers and hygrometers.
And they have hundreds of thousands of years of experience.

Right now just the daughter's (wife's) Pomeranian and my son's indoor cat and about 28 Penedesencas and one old Ameraucana. 9 of the eggs are hers.
Grew up with dogs, cattle, hogs, horses, pheasant and chickens. Oh, and turtles, lizards, snakes, frogs, salamanders and caiman.
We always had about 100 leghorns for egg sales. I've had over 30 breeds of chickens.
