Chicken illness....

My disclaimer: I am not an expert and all of my math and dosing info should be checked and verified. Again, not try to upset anyone, just trying to teach people the importance of dosing by weight.

Well, I consider a five pound chicken to be a "large fowl". Anything higher than three or so pounds I consider to be large fowl. I agree with you that you should focus on your exact chicken's weight instead of an "average" chicken when figuring out dosages.
 
Too funny, 'cause my idea of a large is in the 10-12 pound range... then there's the monster 35 pound turkey range.

Here are a couple of links with dosing info, but they might be a little confusing. What I do now is look at as many sources as possible and try to understand why there are so many different doses recommended.
