Hi all!
We had one of our girls get attacked by something yesterday afternoon. A neighbor actually saw whatever it was run off and stopped to scoop her up for us. She was very lethargic and just laid there. We have her isolated and warm. She’s much more alert today and is eating and drinking and even laid an egg today. She still won’t stand up though. There’s no blood or swelling and it doesn’t even look like she lost many feathers. Hoping it’s just temporary shock but any advice is very appreciated!

She may have been shaken or squeezed, and could have some internal injuries or a back injury, but hard to know for sure. A chicken sling to get her up and to keep her clean, and allow her to eat and drink with more ease. You could try offering some B complex vitamins to help her. Have you given any aspirin for pain? A 1/2 of an 81 mg aspirin can be given once or twice daily. Here is a good link with pictures of chickens sling designs:

I use homeopathy medicine for my family and chickens. What would really help her is Aconitum Napellus 200c and Arnica Montana 200c. You can get them on Amazon or health food stores. I attached a picture of the remedies. Aconitum is for any shock or trauma and arnica is for injuries and internal injuries, it’ll heal any internal bleeding as well. The sooner she gets these the better. You just put 3-4 of the pellets into her mouth or put it in her water and let it dissolve, just make sure no one else drinks that water. She should get 3-4 doses a day

Should I leave her in the chicken sling all day?

It is best to let her out for a break every so often, and she may rest better at night in the dark if she is sleeping on the floor. Think of it as being in a wheelchair, where most need a change of position often. Beware that some chickens fight the sling and can injure themselves trying to get out of them. Some may do better with the legs touching the floor, while some may do better with them off the floor.
