    they are georgeous chickens! so brilliant and unique.....maybe next batch in a few years.....what do their eggs look like? are they harder to care for than other types of chickens?

    Everyone is hiding from the heat in the coop today, so I grabbed my camera for some chicken portraiture.

    My cockerel, One, was particularly camera-friendly today:
