Yes we have been cooping ours up so as to find eggs in nest boxes, and the flock watchers(teenagers) start back to school tomorrow so hmmm poor chickies!

Yep, unfortunately I have lost a few to foxes, and although I work from home I start classes again on Monday. The impending lack of supervision pushed me to make the change.

Not to mention the bf turned purple every time they got into his precious mulch.

Thank you! I think she's a Silkie/Polish mix. She has black skin and feathered legs but has regular feathers, not Silkie feathers, and that giant pouf on her head. She's very skittish but sweet and hilarious to watch.
