It's looking very good. Keep an eye on the hazy film, but at this point I'm not really seeing infection. Some of that haze is where the skin is going to begin regranulating to cover the hole.

It’s looking good.
You could wipe it with betadine. A good antibacterial but still let’s the air get to it.

I'm thinking it still looks good, look at all those pin feathers coming in!

When would be the recommended time to put him back outside as he is? Once its healed completely? So thankful its healed as much as it has! Its taking forever! And he is loud!

Cover it and put him out with the flock. Make sure they don't pick at whatever you cover it with or bully him because he's been gone but really he should be ok.

It's going to take a good long time for it to completely heal.
You don't want it to get pecked open.
Can you set up a fenced off area in coop for him to be with flock,
and out of your house,
but protected from any harassment and/or further injury?

Wow! Looks good. My concern would be others pecking at it. I would hate to have damage done to the wonderful progress you’ve made. To me IMHO I’d let it heal just a bit more and then apply blue kote before letting him out with others.

I would not cover it .....or put blukote on it.
It's a magic myth that blukote will prevent pecking because is camouflages blood or wounds...I've found it to actually attract pecking attention, even from the bird that it is on.

I didn't mean cover it and seal it. Just cover it so it can't be seen and get pecked or dirty.
