My somewhat over 3 month old hens are having trouble breathing. They have a lot of sticky stuff in their mouths. It looks like when you put glue on your fingers and pull them apart. It's hard to take a picture of the hen with her mouth open. I have only noticed this today and I let them out into their run each day. It's pretty hot today, if that helps at all.

Can anyone help me?

give four drops of polyvisol enfamil immediately in beak once a day for a week... (this is for possible vitA deficiency> polyvisol is a childrens liquid vitA-B-D vitamin ).
It MIGHT be trichomoniasis (commonly called canker in pigeons) or even wet pox > use the search function for the emergency forum and look through the info provided in them (there will be links to articles) and review those symptoms to see if applicable to your situation. ( give the polyvisol though immediately as vitA deficiency and treating for that is always advised with these conditions also)

It's 7pm here now. Nothing is open D=
I'll have to get some tomorrow. But I'll see how they are doing then as the sticky stuff seems to be gone but they still look drousy.

you can also give electrolytes in water if you see them panting (you mentioned the heat) OR if not panting then you can put some applecider vinegar in their water.
Do please review those articles on trichomoniasis and wet pox to see if one of those conditions might be applicable (each recquires different meds) > if you suspect one of those and can get a vet to confirm then that would be best.
IF you have to use meds and put those in water then remember you must not combine with the vinegar.

They both seem to be ok now. I brought them to the house (since it's dark and there's no light in the coop) and gave them food and water and they seem to be doing ok. While I was down at the coop, I noticed rat droppings in their water. Could that make them sick? (I cleaned it out anyway)

Both are back in the coop now. (my mum wanted them out of the house

I'll update when I check on them tomorrow.
