Chicken is missing an eye- I don't know what to do

Okay well I took a closer look at it after I calmed down and the eye is still in the socket. It's all white and the lids are half shut. Do I still clean it with water or saline solution? I will separate it ASAP.

I have the same issue right now. My pullets eye is swollen for 5 days now. How can you tell if the eye is still there? It almost looks like it is gone.
