Chicken Jumps on Heads

Hilariously, and adorably, my 6 week old chick likes to jump on people's head and just sit there. I'm assuming she thinks it's like a nest, since she's just a baby still I never thought about giving her a nesting box, but maybe I should? Does she want to practice nesting? She's a barred Plymouth rock, if that matters.

She might be establishing dominance over you. The higher a bird is, the higher they are in the pecking order. It might be cute now, but I would not let her any higher than your shoulders or she might think she is top bird!

That's just the highest place to be..they like to be up high and probably feel safe with you.

I agree bad habit to allow continue...friendliness can equate to dominance down the road.
It's cute at 6 weeks, much less cute as they grow larger.
