I am lucky with my hubby because its his family that has land. Passed down from Hubbys Grandfather and great Uncle. Before that the fam that owned it were family friends. Before it came to this family it was cut into two pieces. BUT Parrish families ended up with both sides. We back up to the other Parrish's and their bull usually comes to visit our cows in the spring lol. Anyway. Our family. My hubby and I, 3 kids still at home and my In Laws are on 130ish acres. Then about 30 miles from me my Bio dad and I own about 30 acres. No of us paid for the land but we sure as heck get hit with the taxes!!!
My Orps are still stand offish. They will stand at my feet for treats but run if I try to touch em But I have only had em maybe a month? . My Little Bantam hens are dolls!! You can just scoop em up whenever. The roos are feisty little boogers. My Hatchery RIR's are stand offish as well. I have a few that are bullies lol. And we will see about BIg chicken!!!

I have no cockerels...all were pullets
I kept one Cockerel out of the red batch and still trying to give away the Bantam roos lol. But we need a roo for chicks. However. Im sure I will get some nice roos in my batch of 20 from Dick Horstman so the roo I have now will get moved out to my dads so I don't have him breeding into that line.

Couple more pics!! Sorry if I get some that I already posted. They got mixed up in my file and are now out of date order lol.
Enjoy!!

Just a comb pic

Its supposed to be nice tomorrow so I wll get some up

hEres my baby...she's the only one that likes to be held...my other buff squated for me
I thought about getting a roo but I decided to wait to get a cockyard built to house them..my neighbor has Bantum roos and yes they are feisty little critters..LOL
are those the kind with fluffy feathers and leg feathers?
