EEK!  Anyone else think it may be leaning roo? Maybe another 4 weeks and the comb  and coloring will give better clues as to pullet or roo. Everybody start hoping roo so it will turn out to be a pullet Lol!

So far still not sure if LC is a hen or roo but I will post picks at 8wks. Im still holding out hope lol. BUT I have five more of her eggs in the bator with some others and they just went on lock down today!! One looked like it MIGHT be internally piped but not sure. However most of hers are rocking and rolling! One of the eggs went in a day after the rest so will see. BC is a very finicky layer. Not a single egg in almost 3 weeks. Any little change stops her. The last change was when I put the chicks in the coop lol. Hopefully she gets moving on them again!

Big Chicken passed away in her sleep last night. I never knew her age and I believe she had a stroke. She spent yesterday and last night wrapped up and warm on her lil heating pad, We spent time loving on her. In the beginning she came to us a terrified creature. She left us knowing love and security. I want to thank all of you who have followed Big Chickens journey even though the journey ended way to soon.

I was so sorry to see this update. But, you're absolutely right, you gave her a great life while she was with you. Did any of her chicks make it?
