Chicken killed

Sounds like a weasel to me. I lost 2 RIRs to one before my Dad and I stayed up the third night and waited for whatever it was. We caught the weasel pulling one of our hens put of the house. Still alive. My dad shot the weasel by flashlight without hitting the Hen, miracle of miracles. Her name was quite apt, Lucky. We had saved from being a meat bird for one of our neighbors, hence we had named her Lucky.

Your birds look just like mine did. Mine were also drug with no heads.

+Chickencoop789, the trap that I purchased is a live catch cage trap, hope it works!
+By Bob, no I have yet to catch anything but lets hoe we will catch the bugger soon.

Hi all, hope you can help. Over the past few months we have had on duck and almost 10 chickens killed. they all had similar traits, head gone and feathers everywhere and no prints. We have suspicion it may be an owl but the last pair were dragged all around the run and surly an owl couldn't drag a chicken. The only other opition is mink, stoat, cat, fox. I will post pics soon. Thanks
What time of day were birds killed?
Killed in coop, run or free ranging?
I'm assuming in run because "were dragged all around the run".
Is run covered?

+aart, They were killed over night, and yes they were in the run. The run is half covered with builders twine

Lock 'em in secure coop at night, whatever it was will be back.
Trap might catch something, not necessarily what killed birds, but other animals could do same.
