Chicken laid her first egg....then stopped.

We told our neighbor to grab whatever eggs were there but they only found 1 egg each day. We've also been monitoring the girls and so far only one egg still

18 weeks is generally when they start to lay, breed makes a big difference also. Once they all start laying, you will have more eggs then you know what to do with!

Your first eggs are always exciting and awesome, enjoy them. Make sure your girls are receiving extra calcium, like oyster shells, they will do fine.

I have 4 chickens. 2 were bought around 3 months old and are around 6 months old now. One of the young ones laid an egg about 8 days ago and hasn’t laid another one. I’d this normal??
