Chicken Landscaping

I have a fantasy about having lavender planted around my coop. Good idea? Bad idea? Will they eat it? Will they kill it? Will it hurt them?

What are other good plants to have in a chicken yard? Currently I've got grass, trees, and a coral honeysuckle. And also, the occasional daffodil, although the daffodils are dormant now. I recall reading somewhere that daffodils are not good for chickens. Will the chickens leave them alone, or should I dig them up?

I have daffadils in my yard also but my girls aren't interested in them at all but the french lavender I had in an container was promptly scratched to death and nibbled on
