Things you wish you could say

What works for me is to pinch your nose shut then slowly sip water for as long as you can. Works every time
I learned this on Sesame Street when I was probably 4 years-old! It worked for me for years, but hasn't in the last few. 🙁

Maybe I need to try sipping for longer, like you said.

Breathe into a brown paper bag for as long as you can. It has to do with the co2 balance in your blood.

I have so many new ideas that I'm almost excited to get hiccups so I can try them out! :lau
Well, if Word World is anything to go by, chug a glass of lemonade really fast. Then drink a glass of water very slowly to get rid of them!

Or you can be like that guy who tried to chug sparkling water and bonked his head on a garage door...

I remember when they tried going to DST earlier than normal. It failed due to massive protests from people not wanting their children going to school in the dark.
That gets given as a reason for keeping the clock change here, but plenty of kids are already travelling to school in the dark if they have more than a short journey, and they're also travelling home in the dark because switching back to GMT instead of keeping to DST means the sun sets ridiculously early in the winter.
